The Motor City Five AKA as the MC-5. In their heyday, no one beat their live act. They made Cream reluctant to go on stage at the Grande Ballroom after one of their performances. It was like a combination of a southern revival meeting, ear splitting rock and an incredible stage presence. The light show and the smell of reefer, incense, cigarette smoke and sweat hung in the air to help create a sensory overload. KOTJMF

Anyone remember The Rose Garden?

Top 20 U.S. Hit in 1967 with Next Plane To London. But I only found out about them because they did a couple of Gene Clark Songs Till Today and Long Time.

Kensington Market and Rhinoceros are two very good bands from the sixties that have faded into the mists of time.

Anyone ever listen to the Beau Brummels?

I've not forgotten the Beau Brummels. I like them very much! I've had both "Laugh Laugh" and "Just a Little" on 45s for many years and I bought this LP on the Sundazed label just a year ago:

The Kinks. I guess they aren't "forgotten" but they really don't get enough credit for being a great band.

The Kinks get a lot of credit from most classic rock fans. They're always high up on any list of best classic rock bands of all time.
