Yes, a lot of songs! It wasn't that difficult finding 250 songs I thought were worthy to make the list. It was however difficult to rank them. I have a wide variety of music from the 60's, 70's, 80's and early 90's. However, most of the songs fall in the 70's. I'll post songs periodically throughout the week. Enjoy and discuss!

*Disclaimer: This is my personal list and ranking system. Thanks!

250. Light My Fire by the Doors

I'm not a huge fan of The Doors but this song gives you everything you'd want from a classic rock perspective.

249. Song For Emma by Joe Walsh

A very sad song that is a tribue to Joe's daughter that died.

248. Strutter by Kiss

The guitar riff alone could have made the list.

247. Can't You See by The Marshall Tucker Band

My dad got me into this band and the rest is history.

246. Day of the Eagle by Robin Trower

Robin = Most underrated guitar player ever

245. Lorelei by Styx

This is the very first song I heard by Styx and it stuck.

244. Somebody like You by .38 Special

I think that .38 Special is very underrated as band. Most of you probably never heard of this song.

243. Sylvia's Mother by Dr. Hook

Another band that my dad got me into. They are amazing in their own right.

242. The First Cut is the Deepest by Rod Stewart

I hate most remakes. However, I do love this original.

241. I Saw Red by Warrant

Yes, I admit I like me some Warrant.

239. I Just Want to Make Love to you by Foghat

The guitars at the start of this song is mind blowing.

238. Ten Years Gone by Led Zeppelin

Along with Free--Led Zeppelin is my favorite band and you will see them a lot on this list.

237. The Flame by Cheap Trick

My wife got me into her hometown band. Cheesy? Maybe. Good song? Yes.

236. Turn To Stone by Electric Light Orchestra

Who doesn't love ELO?

235. Love to Love by UFO

Very underrated gem here. If you skip all the others on this listen at least give this one a listen.

234. Out of Focus by Blue Cheer

A very good song by a band I haven't been into that long.

233. The Angel Song by Great White

The piano here is just beautiful.

232. Youth Gone Wild by Skid Row

Somtimes you just have to headbang!

231. Surfer Girl by The Beach Boys

Sometimes you have to slow it down.

I've always liked Anvil and this is the song that started it all.

225. Believe in Love by Scorpions

The first time I heard this song I connected with it.

224. Ride on a Pony by Free

This is the first of many Free songs on the list. Love the bluesy feel of this song.

223. I Can't Tell You Why by The Eagles

I can tell you why I love this song. It is amazing.

222. Burn by Deep Purple

The guitar playing on this song is mind-blowing. If it didn't make my list then something would be wrong with me.

The lyrics are great and Bob Seger is the working man's singer.

I listened to all the tracks I wasn't familiar with on here FireandWater which was admittedly a good amount but these list are a great way to discover things previously off the radar. :grinthumb Some songs I didn't think I knew I did like the Can't You See track by The Marshall Tucker Band which I like. The best surprise was the UFO track which I liked the best out of everything listed other than songs I already knew I liked. Speaking of songs I liked "Always" is a great track and you definitely shouldn't be ashamed of that. It's one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs and is a powerful, dramatic ballad. The Great White track was a surprise because I never saw them as a ballad band. Recently been into that Cheap Trick track myself and that Warrant song is my favorite by them. I can honestly say that while every track here isn't necessarily up my alley I didn't hear anything I disliked or wasn't worth the listen. Keep up the cool list man! :cheers2

Thanks! Yeah, I was hoping a few people would listen to that UFO song. Not too many people outside of the hardcore UFO fans have heard it. Just keep checking back because there are a lot more songs :)

That's a great tune.

I saw them live back in 1982 and I think this is the first time I've heard them since. They just kind of fell off my radar. Great band, though.

Lots of good songs so far....

too many to make a comment, but glad to see....

Surfer Girl by The Beach Boys
Out of Focus by Blue Cheer

I don't think The Beach Boys get enough respect nowadays - the had so many great songs....and ''Out Of Focus'' by Blue Cheer has such a great 60's raunchy hard rock killer groove to it.

Nice choices, FireandWater...

keep it goin'!

I'm not the biggest Pink fan but this song is great.

215. Take the Money and Run by The Steve Miller Band

The start of this song with the drumming hooked me and I loved it ever since.

So many covers of this song yet the original is still the best in my opinion.

Tommy Lee kills it on this song. Another one you just never hear anymore.
