Let me throw a recommendation in here. This is more in the vein of classic heavy metal.....

The song is actually called "Obey" and yes, the sound quality is not the best on this video.

One more....

Some people wrote this band off even before hearing them, due to the fact that their singer was showing a lot of skin on the promotional photos for their first album. But sex appeal aside, their debut was excellent and so was the recent follow-up, from which the above video is taken. As far as metal albums is concerned, it's definitely in my top 5 for 2013.

There's a new project called Dark Sarah by ex-Amberian Dawn vocalist Heidi Parviainen. It was a shame she left that band, they did 4 great albums with her.

The first video has ex-Xandria vocalist Manuella Kraller guesting. Also a shame she left, Xandria only did one album with her, but it was amazing.

Dark Sarah (feat. Manuella Kraller) - Memories Fall

Dark Sarah - Save Me

I will definitely check Dark Sara.

I am a Xandria fan, but I prefer Lisa Middelhauve on vocals. I didn't get Xandria's 5th album, so I am not familiar with Manuella Kraller and I doubt I will get their upcoming album either.

^ Lisa has a sweet, beautiful voice. Manuella has a voice a lot more like Tarja, very operatic.

Comparisons are silly, but the 5th album was much different than the previous 4 and a seriously great album. I listen to it way more often than the first 4.

The new girl is Dianne van Giersbergen (Anneke's sister maybe?) and I'm waiting to hear what the 6th album will be like. I will definitely buy it.

Xandria is a good band who have had (actually) 3 lead singers up and leave. I think they did really well with Neverworld's End. They seem to be good at writing to the singer's strength.

I mean, if we can support Nightwish, after the way they've handled their singers....
