Total opposite of the thread MP made. This is to pick sections of songs that you loved the most in favourite tunes.
I will pick out Megadeth The Conjuring. At the 2:56 mark that riff.
oh, i have a lot of these. Some are big parts, and some are just minute nuances that are just so cool, I sometimes skip back just to hear that part.
Avril Lavigne:
At the 1:55, the 2nd chorus starts. At roughly 2:05, singing the word "I", she jumps up an octave, then vocal floats down on top of the backing vocal complete a harmony. It's just a simple 2 part harmony, but it is soooooo perfect right where it is.
From about the 4:35 mark to the 6:10 mark is my favorite part of the song, but to be completely specific to the absolute best part of that segment would be from 4:48 to 05:35. Something about the slowdown and re-buildup in that part I just love. My favorite way to play it is on my DJ system with the bass cranked all the way up and the volume knob JUST as cranked up!
The riff starting at the 3:17 mark on through 4:50 mark. One of the greatest and heaviest points in any song the band ever did. Far from the most technically advance song writing in their catalog, but it's JUST so freaking heavy and cool.
The one song that comes to mind is KISS's War Machine.. I love Ace's guitar solo towards the end and the way it fades off.. Love those PHAT guitar riff's.
Some good stuff being posted.
Lynch I agree on that part of the song. When it comes to a song rebuilding I love Orion in the middle section.
No Remorse also has a riff that sounds like Iron Maiden to me. Before that from 3 minutes on I love that rhythm guitar riff. But at the 3:48 mark the riff reminds me of Iron Maiden.
