Thank you for that Frands- the radio did rule supreme when i was a 1960's kid..songs, voices and names too.
'Letter From America' was broadcast each day by Alistair Cook...the Vietnam War was raging- one word stuck in my head whilst munching my Frosties - Cambodia..never forgot the song they played after,( Buffalo Springfield.)
This song used to have me drifting off in thoughts as a kid..it was always on in Caffs ( local dialect for Cafes.)
Later i heard that these were to be called Gerry And The Mars Bars...but for obvious patent and legal reasons..The Pacemakers became the name.
Anyroad up...takes me right back.
