Shindig special..break out the talc:
The Golden Apples Of The Sun - The Monkey Time.
I got to really like Chuck's Mercury stuff..the slight key changes jazzed it up a bit.
Chuck Berry - Club Nitty Gritty.
This was different:
Mighty Sparrow - Only A Fool.
Keith West - Excerpt From A Teenage Opera.
One of those songs I was listening to over and over at that time when it came out! Think I was in 5th grade when it came out. It was a big hit in Germany as well.
Thank you for that Frands- the radio did rule supreme when i was a 1960's kid..songs, voices and names too.
'Letter From America' was broadcast each day by Alistair Cook...the Vietnam War was raging- one word stuck in my head whilst munching my Frosties - Cambodia..never forgot the song they played after,( Buffalo Springfield.)
This song used to have me drifting off in thoughts as a kid..it was always on in Caffs ( local dialect for Cafes.)
Later i heard that these were to be called Gerry And The Mars Bars...but for obvious patent and legal reasons..The Pacemakers became the name.
Anyroad up...takes me right back.
Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying.
TRAFFIC - Dear Mr. Fantasy (1967)
