Well it's obvious the Beatles were the best and the Stones a close second. The Who, Cream and The Animals were also among my faves. I like a song here and there from a bunch of other groups, but none of them come close to these.

Mary Isobel Catherine Bernadette O'Brien better known as Dusty Springfield was the first non-Beatle to invade the States.

T H E B E A T L E S - without any doubt :)

The Dave Clark Five
The Rolling Stones
The Yardbirds (Clapton/Beck time)
The Kinks
Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs
Paul Revere & the Raiders
Jimi Hendrix Experience
Cream
The Animals

I would include The Who,but they started getting interesting in the 70s

Hi there aerozep. Don't take this the wrong way, but the three bands above were not British Invasion groups. :cheers2

Although I guess The Jimi Hendrix Experience could be kinda seen that way, as Jimi made his name across the pond before coming back with his English bandmates.

Mid sixties bands I assume ? Beatles and Stones for me but I must admit I am far from being an expert on the music of that era.

And yeah, I would think that Hendrix invaded England ...

Ive been listening to Amen Corner ..not many albums out there but that voice of Andy Fairweather Low has got into my head ..especially on 'High in the sky' the song itself boogies along quite nicely so theyre my fav at the moment :)
