Badlands was Jake E. Lee's post Ozzy band.

Another one worth mentioning is Riverdogs - Vivian Campbell's band after his Dio and Whitesnake stints.

I love the 90's almost as much as I do the 70's. Some really great bands have risen from this period.

Nirvana
Radiohead
Alice in Chains
Tool
Bjork
Smashing Pumpkins
Dream Theatre
Prince
U2
R.E.M.

Gotta give a shout to one of my favorite bands from Germany.

Gamma Ray!!...Kai Hansen has grown so much since he left Helloween, and I just enjoy kicking back and playing their music with a cold beverage or two...

You should probably get a tad more educated with those bands. Some that you mentioned rose in the 80's, not the 90's. U2 formed in 1976 and had their biggest hits throughout the 80's. DT formed in 1985. Prince is a WELL KNOWN 80's artist with a ton of 80's hits so I have no idea how you classified him as rising in the 90's.

I loved Korn, Nirvana, SP and Bush in the 90's.

I have to cast my votes for

Alice In Chains
Nirvana (of Course)
Stone Temple Pilots
Soundgarden
Radiohead
REM
The Black Crowes

On the whole, I loved the rock of the 90's, especially the early 90's when grunge was really popular. When I first heard Pearl Jam, I remember thinking, "Thank God Rock is back!" LOL.

I started a favorites of the 80s thing so I thought I'd do one for the 90s. So what were some of your faves from the 90s?

My top two would have to be Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters. So they're not the premier grunge bands or anything - though Foo Fighters are related to Nirvana through drummer extraordinaire, Dave Grohl. But they did put out a lot of great music and Foo Fighters are still going strong. Here's hoping Smashing Pumkins can pull off a miracle and reunite at some point. I know Billy Corgan wants to but that isn't enough to make it so.

Billy Corgan is Smashing Pumpkins
