So ... at the very end of Tucker & Dale vs Evil .... a girl screams, and when asked if they should help, Dale replies "Hell No" ... a country song fades in as the scene fades to credits (which is NOT Holding On by Mike Shields). I would so like the full version & probably more by the artist.
Lyrics from the chorus:

She's got a step side pickup truck
She ain't afraid to get it stuck
She likes her country all mixed up with rock & roll
My baby's stubborn and she's proud
She's been known to get a little loud
She's got a hometown heart of gold .. she's a good old girl

Similar(ish) vibe to Homegrown by Lynyrd Skynyrd

Any clues ... I can post an mp3 if that's allowed

Have you tried to use the Shazam app while playing the song??

Not Shazam in particular but I have searched for the lyrics on every site I could find many times and played it at my phone (which is generally quite exceptional at recognising even hugely obscure cover versions correctly) over & over. Still ... nothing ventured & all.

Might have been written just for the film....did you check the credits at end of film?

And sadly, no result :( I swear there has never been a more obscure song

It's not listed in the soundtrack credits. Other sites such as reddit always say the song is Holding On .. it's not. Mike shields is the only composer/artist I can find credited, and while I do agree it could be written specifically, it doesn't really sound like it... doesn't match the theme etc

I've just listened to the end of the film and the first track which precedes the credits is 'I dug my grave' by Mass Undergoe, then comes Mike Shields 'Holding On' and finally in the final minute just as 'I dug my grave' is scrolling up a piece which starts with a frenetic harmonica intro and vocals which are indecipherable but definitely not what you quoted so I'm completely confused as to what you're hearing.

Where did you get the lyrics from?

Maybe Rascal has it confused with another ending credit..?
