What is a song that has emotional significance to you right now? What is a song that you could play right now that would evoke a strong emotion in you? You don't have to spill personal details or even pick a new song but a story or explanation would be cool and it'd be preferable to post something that brings something that's still fresh and personal to you now. I'd avoid standby's that just give you a general feeling every time and that you just feel that groove or whatnot. Anyway, my most recent is this track: The Hunna-Mother Heard this song first on a playlist created for me by Spotify while working OT at my job. I loved the vibe but when I followed up and read what it was about it drudged up these feelings I haven't had in a long time. Thankfully I still have my Mom in good health but I remember the experience spoken in these lyrics with our family (namely my Grandparents) and it makes me feel that lump in my throat. It's a healthy sadness as I don't ever want to forget those last years as painful as they were. I don't want to forget their memory in any way. Those last years gave me time to say goodbye and take everything in despite the bad aspects. I never expected that any of it was going to happen the way it did when I first got that call at work as the lyric "I get the call and rush to the carAm I going to make it? I'm shakingOh, this is it How can this be it?" reflects so vividly. It started with a heart attack my grandmother had that I never saw coming. I remember leaving immediately and driving downstate to see my family waiting at the Hospital. My Grammy survived but in the next two years I saw them rise and fall. Some of the most loving moments as my Grammy remembered me despite her health and dementia and she made me feel so loved. Seeing my grandfather be himself again after his mental failings before joining Grammy in the afterlife. Holding their hands when I though I was losing them and the nights before it actually happened is really dug up in this track. Healthy catharsis and reflective memories. Thank you music! <3 What are yours if you don't mind sharing?
