But what I find funny, is when the band is "accepted" and underground, some people will get a bit defensive...you know. That band IS popular..you never heard of them? Then when it happens they are sell outs.

Well ya know, some metalheads are insane about their bands getting any sort of mainstream recognition and 20 years of being beneath the surface just isn't enough for them I guess. :bonk:

Doesn't just have to be about a mainstream success, some fans call bands sell outs just for experimenting, even if it is crap.

I've been trying to get "A Dramatic Turn Of Events" to sink in more and as of right now my favorite song on the album is the shortest song on the album "Far From Heaven".

I enjoy the flow of that song like many others. It really is an album though that needs to grow on you, it took a couple of listens for me to get into it, probably because at that time I wasn't as heavy into the prog scene as I am now so maybe I just understand it a bit more then I did before, same with regarding Pink Floyd.

Well I've been hearing since that album came out that it's supposed to grow on you and I've listened to it probably half a dozen times and, as a whole, it just sounds really recycled to me.

It is their really lengthy endeavours that I love the most, they are good at keeping my attention to the song for this long.
