Re: The Official DOORS Thread

Jim Morrison had the best voice, Love the first album but i wish they brought the guitars forward in the mix.

Jim Morrison is more than missed from the music world, and any fans of him and The Doors. They've become one of my favorite bands to listen to very very quickly. Morrison has a voice that could cure even the largest pain.

JM reminds me of Jeckyll & Hyde, in that picture you posted he looked like an angel Garrett. Give him a few drinks and he turned into the lizard king.:D

Still he was one of the most unique voices in rock music history and it's a shame he burned out so young and died so needlessly.:(

This is quickly becoming one of my favorites off the Morrison Hotel release.

Morrison Hotel is a pretty good album but my favorites by far are the first three (The Doors, Strange Days and Waiting for the Sun) and L.A. Woman of course.

It's really hard to narrow those down for me. :bonk:

It's a tie between The Doors and Strange Days for me. Morrison Hotel is growing on me, it doesn't get as much listen as the other albums get.

Unfortunately, I don't think I have L.A. Woman yet. I've heard it quite a few times, just don't have it. That'll have to change I think.

L.A. Woman is IMO the best blues album by Doors.
