American Dokken fans who want to catch an in-person glimpse of the upcoming reunion tour with the band’s most commercially successful lineup may want to start pricing out plane tickets to South Dakota.

KBAD 94.5FM in Sioux Falls reports that the group’s temporary reunion will make its public debut with a one-night-only performance at the Badlands Pawn Guns Gold And Rock ‘N’ Roll venue on Sept. 30, following a week of rehearsal in town to prep for their Unleashed in the East Japanese tour.

As KBAD’s report points out, frontman Don Dokken alluded to just such a warm-up event when he announced the reunion tour, hinting that the show could be recorded for an eventual DVD/CD release. Though that part of the plan hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, the report does say the “rumors are all true,” so fans who aren’t able to make the Badlands date can presumably keep their fingers crossed for a home version at some point.

Tickets for the show start at $50, with in-person sales starting at 10AM on Aug. 27 at the Badlands box office. Those who can’t make it to the theater in person — or send an South Dakota friend — have to wait until 5PM, when online sales begin.

The Badlands Pawn, Gold & Jewelry complex has drawn a variety of rock acts since opening, and boasts 70,000 square feet of business and retail space in addition to its performance venue. Kiss co-founder Paul Stanley is a minority owner in the center, where he’s performed with a house band that includes former Keel frontman Ron “Metal Cowboy” Keel.

The fact they reunited at all, and now a US date. I think there will be more if they haven't killed each other by then.
