Shameful

:heheh: Lynch maybe I'm one of a few, but cowbells to me are annoying..:lmao:

Except.. maybe.... this song..:D

I just like Latino rock fushion better when a cowbell is used.. See... even Will Ferrel is playing right on time with the song..

Here's another one, I don't know what they used to create the background sound of sawing a board but it's there.

You just reminded me of one LG!

That sound at the start, and again near the end is made by a musical saw! :D

Yeah Thumper I like all of those.

Here's one for the sheer novelty of it...the soundtrack from Star Trek I, the Klingon attack on V-Ger....I think they either used a long piece of steel hit with a hammer, or a guy wire from a tower hit with mallet.

Either way on a good stereo the effect is awesome.(Sorry Thumper if this is outside the parameters of your thread.;))

No problem dude.. That sounds like Synth work to me.. Electronic effects stuff.. I have a Bass Pro floor pod that I can make my Bass sound metal like that.. It's pretty cool..

Oh I agree completely. They have their place deep in the background, in some cases. I just love that SNL clip! :grinthumb

Of course, can you imagine something like Mississippi Queen without that cowbell in the beginning? Would still be a great song, but it works perfect in that intro.
