So, is Harris not a particularly good person, or does he have some rather serious personal issues?
From what I've read it sounds like the guy def. has some serious personal issues :(

I ordered a copy last week and hope it will be in my snail mail box tomorrow! I can't wait!

I wasn't going to get that re-release package at first but then I read about it being remastered from the original tapes (and the original tapes went through quite a bit of *DRAMA* going by Brian's book, before they got back into his hands) so I decided ok, I've got to have this one. On the U.S. sites the CD was either out of stock or indefinitely backordered so I got on ebay, found some U.K. sellers who had it in stock, and picked one to order from.

On August 27, 1982, Diamond Head played at the Reading Festival. Diamond Head was actually a last-minute replacement for Manowar who had to cancel at the last minute due to having visa problems. The Reading set and two tracks from a BBC Friday Rock Show session were released on a CD in 1992 by Raw Fruit Records. The Raw Fruit CD became hard to find and very pricey to obtain. In 2009 the Reading set and complete BBC concert were re-released with The MCA Years box set. In my biased OR opinion the Reading Festival set is GREAT and an absolute Diamond Head must-have/hear! :sing: :guitar: :drums:

1. Sweet and Innocent (BBC)
2. Lightning To The Nations (BBC)
3. Am I Evil
4. In The Heat Of The Night
5. Borrowed Time
6. Don't You Ever Leave Me
7. Sucking My Love
8. Play It Loud

My favorite Diamond Head song, In The Heat Of The Night, performed at Reading. Of course I am simply mad about Brian's guitar solos in this. In fact Brian's guitar playing at Reading is absolutely SMOKING! :guitar: :tm:

Don't You Ever Leave Me performed at the Reading Festival:

Play It Loud - Live at Reading

to be continued ...

Ok I have to throw this in for a moment of brevity and something that's in back of my mind when it comes to the band but if you've been following my adventures in DH you'll understand ;)

OMGoodness! This is AWESOME!

According to the Diamond Head web site, someone found some old video tapes from 1979 the band recorded so students at the West Bromwich College TV Department could get some practice! These videos had been lost for over 30 years!

The entire story is explained by Brian in the following link:

The Official Diamond Head Web Pages

In addition you might also have to click on the Headline “Live At West Bromwich College 1979”. The web site doesn’t seem to be set up where you can directly link to most of the pages.

Here are the videos as posted on You Tube:

Shoot Out The Lights 1979

Helpless 1979

Am I Evil 1979
(Note the slightly different guitar solo. They had not yet recorded it!)

Diamond Head Borrowed Time promo with Personal Note and Signatures

I got this supercool Diamond Head record from a guy who acquired a DJ's record collection.
I love this record but I have to sell it so if anyone wants it let me know.
This band was one of the bands I grew up on. I lived in Europe when I was in my teens and had a copy of the record in my collection since I was a kid. I sold that one at a yard sale.
Still love this band!!!

Just back from seeing them live with Uli Jon Roth, I have to say they were good, however they were better a number of years ago in Wales and how can you follow Uli Jon Roth on stage. Two different bands and a few had left when Uli finished, I must admit, it took me a while to get into them after the blistering performance from Uli but they were excellent and got heavier as their set progressed.

I will defo see them again and hope they continue to tour as they are still a driving force on the metal scene :)

I know this thread has been dead for a hot minute, but I'm gonna revive it anyways because these guys are the best band in the entire universe! (at least, in my opinion ;))

Allow me to contribute a couple of pictures!

[here's their source.]

I love this because of Sean's cute little smile :')

Now this one......
Good Lord, I have SO many questions, the biggest one being: is Sean actually wearing a tiara and if so, why?! :heheh:
