As much as I usually despise the more "growly" death metal, I love Deicide. One of the more thought-provoking conversations Ive had with some of my friends was that of Deicide being a christian death metal band.

I wouldn't call myself an expert by any means, but the best example I can think of is one you have posted: Scars of the Crucifix -- basically recounting the passion.

Hmm that must have been an interesting conversation. I really don't think their a christian band though, considering a lot of other songs they've made that totally rip on Christianity.
That's just me though.

Love the first two. I lost interest in them for a while after Once upon the Cross but the last 2 are pretty good too.

This is frickin' funny ,dude I lmao Glen sounds like some kind of
cross between a villain professional wrestler and a demon processed maniac.

It reminds me of the crap we used to say to kids after we got them really
"blazed" on the green stuff for the first time with us. Used to scare some of them to near death before we told them we were just kidding
