I love this album! Especially Smoke On The Water ad Highway Star. Great classic album!
I've been on a DP kick lately. I picked up In Rock and Machine Head last month, and I just love them both.
As far as I'm concerned, all albums with Ritchie Blackmore are more or less essential rock albums! "Come Taste the Band" (with Tommy Bolin) is also a great record, which kindda got new life with Kevin Shirley's 2010 remix. Did you guys hear that remix?
The later material with Steve Morse is also good, but not quite as essential, except maybe "Purpendicular" and "Now What?!".
Burn is another very good one. Not as consistent as their best but enough great tracks.
