This is a difficult Poll, but sometimes............

and it shoots to Kill!

I as a fan of Rock, prefer Alice Cooper; but he pales in comparison to Bowie as a 'Classic' Artist.

Enough said.

Let's face it!

Either you Love Alice or You Hate Him!

I'm thinking........

Bowie vs. Mercury or Jagger vs. Bowie?

Come On!

Somewhat poor choices for your argument.

All I said is that David Bowie was more 'Classic'; I did not define 'Classic' rock.

I know what you are driving at, but most people don't want to hear about sick people doing sick things and that is what Alice Cooper was all about.

Well, that was a persona that Coop expounded upon for sure.
But on LITD and Killers they had their fair share of lighter hearted pop hits as well.
With Schools Out, they/he showed the love of musicals., not a lot of darkness there.
With BDB, they went full dark/theatrical.
As a solo artist he explored the theme again with Nightmare.
Things seemed to spiral downwards after that.
.
Bowie was always exploring, never really knew what the next album was to be like.
IMO, he pushed the envelope much more.
