Tough decision, but i'll go with Bowie.

Not even a contest. Alice Cooper by a mile. Maybe 2 miles.

I think Bowie is more ambitious on his records than Cooper who, aside from some detours in the 80's and again in the early 2000's, generally gives you a reliable sound.

However, I think Cooper's music is much better and his stage persona is more exciting.

I love them both but I'm more apt to groove to the sounds of David Bowie.

Alice's music is very fitting for those moods that come up every once in a while, but as a whole, does not appeal to my taste as much as Bowie.

I give Alice props for "I Love the Dead" and I love his dark sense of humour but Bowie just puts more light in my heart.
