Re: "The Official" David Bowie Thread

^^Lady, I still like Bowie a lot, just something shifted at that point in time and I stopped collecting his music.

There is a copy laying around here somewhere, my little brother left his old vinyl here when he moved to the coast, but I haven't played it in decades.:peek

I'm just messing with you.

But I have to admit I seriously love that record.

My little brother likes 80's Bowie more than his early work, it was a long standing argument between us.:D

If my wallet allowed, I'd have gotten into much more than that by now.

I know of loads of his music that was recorded far before then, but I can't just be like "oh, I love such and such album because..." 'cause I haven't really started a Bowie vinyl collection yet. Sadly.

I think someone needs to visit eBay and snatch up a copy of "Hunky Dory" then. Something tells me it'd be one that you'd enjoy the most from David. :D

Grand! I think you would appreciate how that album is only really held together by Bowie unusual sense of melody and innate gift of imaginary. Otherwise it wouldn't work at all.

I grew up to all of the radio hits, from "Space Oddity" to "Cat People".
