Classic MTV - Who still has their old VHS tapes?

hello people. if anybody can help me to find these old vhs tapes of australian mtv between 1987 1989,with richard wilkins as a vj, since 2010 i am looking for it , and no answers, it must be really hard stuffs, there is some site people sell some old mtv trasfered on dvd , on ioffer, but that's a american mtv. if anyone has any information , please let me know .

I had a tape that had SRV doing Pride And Joy and Testify on Unplugged.


Not really sure whatever happened to it.

I believe I still have the early Alice In Chains "Facelift" tape as well as Nirvana's "One Night, Sold Out" tape.

You know, when MTV first started, there were no 'veejays' and no commercials.

I don't know how long that lasted, but when they saw people were watching, then came the commercials, but without sound. Ironically enough, MTV airs everything but music now.

Not sure when Nina Blackwood, JJ Jackson, Alan Hunter, Martha Quinn, and Mark Goodman showed up, though. (wow, that is frightening that I know all those names without even thinking about it.

BTW - this is incorrect. I have a recording of the first four hours when MTV went on the air, August 1st 1981. All five of those VJs were there from the start and some of the first commercials were for the Trapper Keeper and Superman II.

VH1 Classic still occasionally runs Metal Mania video blocks that are mostly/all the stuff from Headbangers Ball.

If you have a DVR, set it to record all episodes.
