Re: BREAD (David Gates, James Griffin & Co.)

A very underrated band. The book looks like it's certainly worth a read. Congrats man.

Thanks ! I was pleasantly surprised when writing it how interesting the story actually was ! Far more than just your average soft-rock band they are categorised as !!
Trouble is, the book needs to do well with the pre-orders to justify it's status to the publishers who will then decide if it goes on sale to the 'general public'. If it interests you then please pre-order the limited edition !! :woot:

PS - Bob Dobolina ? Nevermind it furthermore, the plea is self-defence ...

Yeah I like it that there's some love for David Gates and Bread on a rock forum like this, they sure have stood the test of time, you still hear Bread songs on FM radio all the time, same applies to The Carpenters and Glen Campbell who probably a lot of rock fans dismiss them as wishy-washy middle-age middle of the road syrup music, but all it is actually is amazingly great songs amazingly well sung and played and produced, David Gates and Richard Carpenter were two of THE great pop song composers.

Here is another cool track they cut that is pretty cool, and is much 'heavier' than most of their hits. I don't think this ever got much (if any) radio play, but it should have.

Bread - Tecolote
