I don't know if this is borrowing or paying homage

Great examples here! Some of these are so blatantly stolen :heheh:

Guilty as charged m"lud........

This 13 CANDLES riff was "inspired" by Priests "Painkiller"....I admit it. It was "gothed" up a bit with keyboards behind it.
Painkiller is STILL after all these years one of the greatest heaviest riffs ever done.....please nice CRF people dont tell Rob Halford and the boys I dont want to go to music jail :wtf:

Oh Louis, you plagiarist you, I'm telling on ya!

:D

Actually cool song you got there and what better inspiration than a scorchin' track like Painkiller :grinthumb

The Kinks' Ray Davis filed a lawsuit against The Doors as he thought their track 'Hello I Love You' was a rip off of 'All Day and All of the Night'. He won the case and all royalties from The Doors' song have since gone to him.

This one is rather ironic, given how much Chris Impellitteri has "borrowed" off Malmsteen over the years :heheh:

Impellitteri - Stand in Line (1988)

Yngwie Malmsteen - Making Love (1990)

I don't know which was first: Alice Cooper's School's Out or Uriah Heep's Spider Woman (Magician's Birthday). Same with Deep Purple's Woman from Tokyo and Meadows by Joe Walsh. Hot Blooded by Foreigner copies both. Steve Miller borrowed the Crossroads Blues riff from Cream for Jet Airliner. He also borrowed Alright Now from Free for Rockin' Me. Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie was blatantly copied on Ice, Ice Baby by Rob Van Winkle.
