Slash admitted that the main riff from Paradise City is essentially a fast version of Black Sabbath's Zero The Hero.

Black Sabbath - Zero The Hero

Guns N' Roses - Paradise City

What other songs can you think of with borrowed or similar riffs?

Go back and listen to Robert Johnson, Chuck Berry, T-Bone Walker, Freddie King, and other blues masters to find out where a lot of rock riffs were lifted from.

Jimmy Page wrote some great riffs, but stole a bunch too. Dazed And Confused being one of them. But it's actually the bass line, and the song itself that was ripped off from a 1967 folk rock album.

Guilty as charged m"lud........

This 13 CANDLES riff was "inspired" by Priests "Painkiller"....I admit it. It was "gothed" up a bit with keyboards behind it.
Painkiller is STILL after all these years one of the greatest heaviest riffs ever done.....please nice CRF people dont tell Rob Halford and the boys I dont want to go to music jail :wtf:

I have always thought the opening riff to Rock 'N Me by The Steve Miller Band was suspiciously similar to the Free's All Right Now.

Steve Miller Band - Rock 'N Me

Free - All Right Now

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB...!

Oh, nothing. Never mind. :heheh:

The Kinks - Sunny Afternoon

Roger Glover - Love Is All

Apparently it was an accident that 'LIA' sounds like 'Sunny Afternoon'. Glover's song is much better, so I believe them. :heheh:

This one's almost a straight rip off.

Tom Petty - Mary Jane's Last Dance

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Dani California
