JOVI TO CONTINUE TOUR
April 28, 2011

In response to questions about Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi's upcoming performance schedule, the band released the following statement today:

"Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

Ah, a roadie or touring guitarist is about to get a big break. Of course that means there will be another member of Bon Jovi who isn't officially recognized by the band.

Why is Sambora taking time off? Is he sick or just tired of touring?

Yes, his drinking problem again...third time. Makes me think that rehab is a scam.

^^Yeah it is definitely a PR dodge as much as anything else these days. It's all about image and protecting your money making ability, not really your health and well being.

As Lynch would do if he were here...

Hmmmm... IMO if their support was absolute they would reschedule those shows and give their fans what they paid to see... A Bon Jovi WITH Ritchie.

Then again, they may very well be completing dates that have already been sold out, meaning it isn't necessarily going to be good for the fans who already bought tickets if Bon Jovi decides to cancel all upcoming tour dates.

Meaning it is one thing to cancel touring plans if dates haven't been announced and tickets haven't been sold, but what if shows have already been announced and tickets have been purchased?
