^^^ That's the kick I get from them too Eberg, it's like there is a bit of something extra underlying the heavy riffing.

yeah, they're vibe almost reminds me of the Ozzy years of Black Sabbath, even Ozzy's first three solo albums, not as creepy as Sabbath, but the energy isn't just because they are heavy, which is what I don't like in most metal bands...
Some punk bands rely on the speed or volume to be energy too, but a band just needs to have chemistry and energy from that

When did these guys start out, what are their albums, and are they still around, and the rest of that good stuff?

They cranked up in 2001 , released the "Black Stone Cherry" album in 2006 then the second album "Folklore And Superstition" in 2008. I first came across them on a sample cd out of a mag about 3 years ago. Since then I have bought both albums and seen them at Download, and man they can cut it live as well.

I saw them in concert last year and have both cds.
It's a shame they are not a bigger band especially when I see the bands that are big and aren't that good.

I just finished playing their ST album and I am "Gobsmacked"....what a great CD. I will have to play it a few more times just to calm down enough to be objective about the band, but they are My kind of rock music.
