I saw them at Festival Hall Melbourne Victoria Australia in around 1974. I remember it was a good show, even though it was so long ago. I remember Ozzie coming out on stage dressed in something like out of the medieval ages. Very impressive.

wow, i would love to be in your situation, discovering early BS for the first time.

Well... I do own their hits package 'We Sold Our Soul For Rock n Roll' which I have enjoyed listening to for many years. So I'm not exactly new to Black Sabbath and Ozzy's voice. I already knew stuff like Black Sabbath (title track), The Wizard, War Pigs, Paranoid, Iron Man, Fairies Wear Boots etc.

But it was indeed nice to listen in the context of the albums.

Sabbath will be headlining the Hyde Park extravaganza this summer. Other acts - Soundgarden, Motorhead, Neil Young. Sounds like a pretty good gig to me. One of Ozzy's great quotes - 'The first time I came to London I didn't have a pot to piss in'
