I chose '68 - '76. The era began with A Saucerful of Secrets, ended with my favorite Wish You Were Here, and in between came Dark Side of the Moon. Admittedly, the other albums are spotty but they contain enough strong points.

I love early Floyd with Sid but there's not enough to match the era that followed. Only the debut album and a few great singles.

Saucerful of Secrets is my favorite Floyd album. So the Syd, Gilmour, Waters, Wright, Mason lineup (however brief it was).

All classic IMO.
