Yes, I knew about John's solo albums, I meant within the context of The Who. I should have specified that. Geddy is a phenomenal bassist but he's taken flack for his singing abilities. Mind you, I've never had a problem with his singing, even back in the days of "The Screech". :D But, unfortunately, a lot of folks couldn't get around Geddy's unique voice and tuned out Rush, which is a shame. Lots of great, great music from that band.

Phil Lynott. Great bassist, singer and lyricist! And he played with some of the greatest guitarists of classic rock. (Including unreleased sessions with Blackmore and Ian Paice as Baby Face).

if so, then yes phil lynott would be one of my favorite bassist/singers

Yeah probably Paul McCartney, but Jack Bruce is good and another addition I'd include is Chris Hillman from the Byrds! Yeah I reckon Chris Hillman is just as good as McCartney - maybe better! :bleep:
