Groovy Man
I'm Not Like Everybody Else
For me, it's The Ramones and The Clash.
In the 90's, looking for good new music, somehow I found The Clash and The Ramones.
Yes, I know both bands started out in the 70's, but in the late 70's and the whole decade of the 80's, I couldn't get into them.
In the 90's not impressed by grunge at all, I was forced to go back in time, and rediscover The Clash and Ramones.
Not that I ever really hated them, I remember hearing a few good songs by each band, but ''punk'' wasn't my thing at the time.
Actually, The Ramones and Clash are as ''punk'' as I get.
I had a chance to see The Clash in concert once, when they opened for The Who, but me and the crowd I was with, partied outside while they played. ''Baba O' Teenage Wasteland'' and all that good stuff.
Today, I love both bands.
Also, went back and gave some grunge bands another listen, and still can't get into grunge.
