Re: ANGEL (appreciation thread)

Buck man! My brother worked one of their concerts and all you posted they did.

He said they came out of and appeared inside upright glass cases at the start of the show.

:grinthumb

The disappearing stuff, the talking head...all of it he mentioned happening. He still has some cool old photos of that show.

Re: ANGEL (appreciation thread)

I used to own one of their albums on vinyl, but I can't remember which one...lol. My memory must be going along with other bits and pieces that used to work.:heheh:

Nice OP MP, I want all you Angel fans to give me the absolute "BEST" record to start with, the one you can't live without in your collection.

No prob. :heheh:

If you are looking for an entire catalog go for Sinful second

...as this and On Earth As It Is In Heaven were discontinued for the longest time. They may be again soon. You can get them through Amazon.

The live album (Live Without A Net) if you like live albums.

Otherwise the first two (S/T & Helluva Band) and the 4th (White Hot)are the easiest to get and are in print.

Even though I recommend the 3rd, it's only fair to tell you that the first debut is pretty close to the whole concept of power metal as well as being progressive and conceptual in spots.

I don't know which one you owned so I thought I would cover a bit of extra ground here.

My favorite is 'On Earth' but it's too close between that one & Heluva Band for me. The debut is worth it for "Tower" & "Rock & Rollers". I like Sinful a lot too. White Hot has probably the coolest album cover but for me it was the weakest even though I enjoyed it

Re: ANGEL (appreciation thread)

I only have four albums by them..(Including a Guffria solo) But I got into them in the late 70's.. Another one of those Glamish bands that had some good stuff..

Punky Meadows was one of those guys you kinda stared at and wondered what was so good looking about him.. LOL
