1975 was indeed a banner year for rock music! Vinyl was very hip, with many bands releasing superb albums that year. I'll take a shot at some of my favorites of then, and also currently. :) I'll probably miss a few, but here it goes!

Jeff Beck - Blow By Blow
Fleetwood Mac - S/T
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Robin Trower - For Earth Below
Ted Nugent - S/T
Nazareth - Hair Of The Dog
Deep Purple - Come Taste The Band
Tommy Bolin - Teaser
Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow - S/T
Black Sabbath - Sabotage
Queen - Night At The Opera
Blue Oyster Cult - On Your Feet Or On Your Knees
BTO - Head On
ZZ Top - Fandango
Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare
Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic
REO Speedwagon - This Time We Mean It
Styx - Equinox
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Nuthin' Fancy
ELO - Face The Music
Rush - Fly By Night
Thin Lizzy - Fighting
Outlaws - S/T
UFO - Force It

A banner year it surely was! Many of these will continue to be both favorites, and also listened to as often as possible.

Wow someone else who likes Tommy Bolin, I love "Private Eyes", and I still have an old copy of "Teaser" on vinyl laying around somewhere.

I love Bolin's playing. Those 2 albums mentioned are great but I love Deep Purple's 'Come Taste the Band' with Bolin(incidentally that came out in '75!) & the James Gang's 'Miami'.
I also love his playing on Purple's Last Concert in Japan which was recorded in 1975...but released in '77

Cosmic, I'm a big fan of the Rocky Horror Picture Show & seen it many Saturday Nights at midnight showings during the 80's. It's an unbelievable experience seeing that film in a theater. Back in the 90's myself,my wife,& a group of about 10 others went to see the touring musical of it on a Halloween Night at a full 3000 seat hall. The outfits people wore were unbelievable that night. I just wore white face with mascara that my wife put on me,a white T shirt, jeans, leather jacket, & my 4 inch heel platform shoes from the 70's.They were frisking everone pretty carefully as we entered the venue but I stand 6'4"(without the shoes,so with about 6'8") & back then weighed about 260(235 now!) so when I walked in the 2 security guards just looked up at me & said "Go Ahead". We had brought the toast, decks of cards, hot dogs,...etc to throw at the appropriate times. What a riot that night was!!

Yes, indeed, I surely do!!! Going pretty far back to when he was in a local band, Zephyr. That was when I was first 'illuminated' to Tommy was with that band. I became an even bigger fan upon hearing James Gang 'Bang' and 'Miami'. 'Bang', along with 'Teaser', 'Private Eyes' and his time with Deep Purple were, and always will be special favorites for me. Tommy was a extremely talented, innovational guitarist. I also enjoy his lyrics, song structures as well as singing abilities.

He was very inspirational, to many people, too. I believe Glenn Hughes has quite a lot of respect, admiration and deep feelings of Tommy. I feel he misses him, as do many, greatly!

Looks like I'm going to have to look around for some more albums...what I like about the solo work Tommy Bolin did was it showcased his talents as an artist in his own right, it is another tragic loss he died so young and so needlessly.

Oh my god that sounds amazing! I've not gotten to even see a midnight showing of it yet (since nowhere around here does them), but I sooooo want to. That sounds like such a phenomenal show though. I wish I could see it. :heheh:

Well you could always buy the dvd and then get dressed up and invite people over to watch it at your place. But then you'd have a real mess to clean afterwards. :heheh:

Well I have the DVD but it wouldn't be as cut lose or grand as it would be at even a midnight screening.
