Man, looking at the gems uncovered during this year, it really makes these days pale in comparison... these days, if an album half as good as some of those came out, there'd be a massive build-up for it. You don't get stuff like this anymore

As a newb here on CRF, some of these threads are already chock full of my own picks but here is one from 1975, a banner year for music indeed!.

Armageddon. A bit of an underground classic. Nice slice of mid 70's hard/blues rock with touches of prog as well. The bonus is Keith Relf (his last recorded output before he was tragically electrocuted in 1976) on vocals with a generous helping of some wailing harmonica. This album was quite popular around the midwest in the late 70's, early 80's. Songs like Buzzard and Silver Tightrope were rotated right along with Black Sabbath and Rush on many local FM stations. Quite a few people owned the vinyl or 8 track.

It's a cracking good album, full of energy and texture.

i mean that is one kick ass year, it doesn't get much better, but seriously, any year in the 70's is amazing

Three of the all time best albums:

Physical Graffiti -- Masterpiece.

Toys In The Attic --was great, probably even a masterpiece ( too bad Aerosmith sucks now a days)

KISS Alive -- I wore that one out playing air guitar. One of the greatest live albums ever.

As do I, but unless sheltered under the glam rock umbrella (which would have been A-MAZE-ING) I wouldn't have stood a chance, what with my lifestyle...
