I wonder if there are any good Aerosmith biographies I can buy. Joe Perry made an appearance on AI the other night for Steven's upcoming birthday and it had me wondering a bit about the relationship between those two.

Tyler and Kramer have got books out, Perry is writing his. There was a book called Walk This Way but it appears to have been deleted, plus I saw video a somewhere that had the band absolutely slating it.

I've got an unofficial one about Tyler that paints a very interesting picture of the Tyler / Perry relationship, though it could be rendered worthless now because of the video I saw on here of the 60 minutes segment. I can't actually remember what it's called though :bonk:

Well then I think you could consider it a clean sweep for the ladies of the staff, Jen. ;)

Well clearly we all have superb taste. :grinthumb

Awesome, thanks! Now that I think of it, I think I may have seen Walk This Way at Barnes the last time I was there. I'll pick it up if you recommend it. Been a good while since I've read a decent rock bio. Seems that, at least nowadays, Tyler and Perry have a pretty good relationship. I wonder if they'll be performing anything on Idol later in the season in anticipation of the new album. I think him being on the show will help boost their numbers at least a little bit this go around. :D

I would say the opposite, Tyler and Perry's relationship is at an all time low. That 60 minutes video paints their relationship as one of Perry / Kramer / Whitford & Hamilton vs Tyler. That Tyler only did American Idol because the other 4 wanted too tour and were looking for a new vocalist. Acceptance of drug use by Tyler in one sentence, but accusations of 2 of the other guys being high in another. Perry saying the only reason he hasn't smashed Tyler in the face is because Tyler need his jaw too sing, Tyler clearly being upset with that, and retorting he takes Perry riffs and turns them into smash singles and huge albums, I could go on and on...

I would recommend the Walk This Way book, I think any book telling the story of a band I need gaps filling in is worth a read. Plus many of these unofficial biographies are £3 in HMV in the UK, gotta be worth it.

The album is due in July, but they haven't even written all the songs yet. It just keeps getting better...

Digging myself right back into Aerosmith again. Exploring the 1970s bluesy sounding albums. Get Your Wings is one I am loving.

Spaced is thus far my favourite tune on this album.

I've been on an Aerosmith bender for a couple of weeks now myself. My ipod playlist has 61 songs on it.
