Re: Draw The Line

It is more than great I guess Groovy, and I own it but it just didn't stick in the ol memory as Toys, Wings or Rocks did for me.

7 on Joe's scale of injustice .... not as good as the earliest stuff and the beginning of a decline IMO

7-Great

It was a disappointment at the time but over the years it has aged well and is better than I remember. Nowhere near the first 4 albums but better than anything that came after with the possible exception of Night In The Ruts.

Re: Draw The Line

Whitford-Perry!!

I think ''Draw The Line'' isn't a pefect album, but it is excellent, no doubt. Sounds good, real loud. There's some great jams and riffs on this album. Whitford-Perry really ''rock out'' on this album.

IMO, ''Bright Light Fright'' is probably the weakest track on the album, vocals and lyrics are weak, kinda shows why Joe Perry should sing...lol... - but musically, that song jams! So, even the weakest track has something to offer.

Anyway, don't mind me, I know no one said this album was bad, I guess just feel like an Aerosmith ramble today.
:heheh:

It's not a 10 - but a solid rockin' 8, imo.

The title track!!!! (I remember slowing down my turntable to figure out the screaming part!!)...The whole album is excellent!

I always loved that part...classic Tyler!

:cheers2

I agree! Maybe not every song is great, but Draw The Line does have many excellent songs and also performances, imo! With the band being together for several years and having many successful albums, tours to their credit the band was still progressing, imo. Although not every track may be fantastic, there are some outstanding songs on this album! Kings And Queens is one of my favorite songs on DTL, and was even more memorable with experiencing it performed live. I'll say the same for Milk Cow Blues, too!

There probably aren't too many bands that can continue to produce hit after hit songs/albums over the span of many years, and also with the rigors of touring over many countries, many years as well as getting along with one another, too, imo! Probably more so with the usage of illegal enhancing substances involved! :bonk:

I know this is an old thread, but these "rate the album" polls never die. This gives newer members a chance to vote.
