Well let's see....far bigger and more influential hard rock/metal bands like Deep Purple, Rush, and Thin Lizzy aren't in yet so Slayer? Yeah, they're never getting in.

Slayer is just as big as those bands and also just as influential (black metal, death metal, new thrash metal bands all influenced by them).

Iron Maiden, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Slayer, and Megadeth are a few bands I would include.

Guns N Roses should be interesting.

I think these all should definitely get in.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
Guns N' Roses
The Cure
The Small Faces/The Faces, Heart
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Donovan
War

These ones should not...

Eric B. & Rakim
Rufus with Chaka Khan
Freddie King
The Spinners
Donna Summer

[I've never heard of Laura Nyro]

And while I don't think they should be inducted I always have and will continue to go to bat for the Beastie Boys.

Laura Nyro is a songwriter of some note. A couple of the hits she wrote were Eli's Coming (Three Dog Night) and Stoney End (Barbara Streisand). The (Small) Faces, Donovan, Heart, War and the Spinners are the one's I'd like to see inducted from this group.

Meh, like I really care. Someone call me when Rush and Captain Beefheart make it on the ballad, then the R&RHOF will have my full attention. :heheh:

I'll never understand how KISS hasn't been inducted yet, and I don't even like them! Same goes for Rush. Both have had far more of an impact on music than Chic and LL Cool J (were either of those even inducted last year anyway?)

And Deep Purple hasn't been inducted yet? You're kidding me!

If everyone ignores the RnR HoF, and they should, maybe it will go away. I agree 100% with what the Sex Pistols said about it.
