When The Doors were at their peak, say '68-'70, I was probably too young to appreciate what they were doing. But I get it now, and I've become a huge fan over the last 15-20 years. Queen were four very talented individuals, but I have to go for Jim & the boys.

This a tough one as the Doors have always been a favourite of mine and I love Queen, but I have to stick with the Doors as I remember being hooked first time I heard Riders on the Storm.

Queen. I respect the Doors as musicians, but Jim Morrison's whole pretentious persona ruins it for me. He really did seem like a self-centered a-hole who treated people like crap. And his poetry was pretty lousy as well. Yeah, he had a good voice. But that's about as far as it goes. However, the rest of the band were a tight combo.
