And I like Gorham as part of the guitar duo of him and Brian Robertson on Thin Lizzy's hits The Boys Are Back In Town and Jailbreak. Whiskey in the Jar, I know, was recorded before they both were in the band.
Yeah they had a top 10 hit in the UK back in 1972/73 with Whiskey in the Jar when Eric Bell was in the band playing guitar I remember Phil, Eric & Brian appearing on Top of the Pops tv show back then.

Eric Bell he use to play with his band in a couple of Irish pubs around my part of north London back in the 1980s on Friday & Saturday nights and would usually end the evenings set with Whiskey in the Jar (the way he played it with Thin Lizzy) which always went down well with the predominantly beer drinking Irish audience ha ha ha...

Their is a song or tune called BIG BIRD that I have on a cd called Jammed Together that features Steve Cropper, Pop Staples & Albert King and released on Stax records of Memphis around 1969/70 but the tune wasn't wrote by any of those three musicians although the tune I believe was written by Eddie Floyd with Booker T & the MGs recording the original version.

Jammed Together sounds like a pretty cool CD. It's funny. When I saw The Blues Brothers movie "all those years ago", I had no idea at the time that Steve Cropper and Duck Dunn were members of Booker T & the MGs, and that Steve Cropper co-wrote (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay with Otis Redding. I didn't know that he co-wrote Knock On Wood with Eddie Floyd and In the Midnight Hour with Wilson Pickett, either. What can I say? I like to find out all this trivia, as I've written trivia questions for many years.
