Philles Records released the Ronettes version of "I Can Hear Music" in 1966. Phil Spector and Lester Sill formed Philles in the early 1960s. Veronica Bennett the lead singer for the Ronettes eventually married Phil and changed her name to Ronnie Spector. Spector? Phil's father anglicized his Ashkenazi surname from Spekter to Spector.

The Beach Boys released their version of "I Can Hear Music" in 1969. They're showing their stuff in this video. At 1:25 Mike gives Carl "The Look" and Carl immediately responds with a look of disapproval. "We don't do that sh*t. It's about alluring women." Mike gets it. Hand signals.

Ok rock dudes after 45+ years of listening to rock and blues/rock I've heard most stuff in that time (except maybe for Tom Petty ha ha ha...) anyway when it comes to covers and Bob Dylan well everyone knows that Bob wrote some great songs in his time and that a number of artist's have covered some of them the most obvious example is Jimi Hendrix covering All Along The Watchtower which bob regards as the definitive interpretation of that song but there was others as well like The Drifters Escape again by Jimi Hendrix and Highway 61 Revisited by Johnny Winter as well, anyway very recently I came across a very good cover of a Dylan song that I had never heard of before because I'm not a Dylan fan with the song concerned coming from a 1985 album of Bob's and is called When The Night Comes Falling From The Sky and is performed by the late Jeff Healey and his band (a 3 piece band including Jeff) and in my opinion it is really a good song and a strong performance was given by Jeff who ads a tasty guitar solo to the song that I had to check out who actually wrote it and I was surprised to find out that it was a Bob Dylan song.

Sorry I can't post it but the song is featured at the end and over the closing film credits to the movie ROADHOUSE released in 1989.

Weirdly enough I was listening to this yesterday, posted it earlier elsewhere and it didn't occur to post it here, duh
