Will review when I get back from the gig on 23rd February, should be a top night as Priestess are on with them, might get a couple of choice ale houses in too, woo hoo.
Saw Bigelf last night and they were absolutely brilliant, one of the best bands I have seen in ages, the vocalist screamed into his microphone whilst playing two hammond organs, the stage was small and these two giant hammonds almost filled the stage and dwarfed the drummer at the back. The guitars were excellent and loud, everything about this band screamed Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Atomic Rooster. I was using my air guitar to it's max last night and enjoyed every minute of it. The lead singer did say he understood the Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall similarities with, "The Mad Hatter", as he belted the song out with his top hat on. The venue was small but was full of middle aged men who just seemed to stand there in awe. My friend and I couldn't keep still, my feet were tapping, my head shaking and my guitar and hammond wailing, oh and the t-shirts were buy one and get another free. (picked up a CD from the gig too)
Priestess were a good heavy support band and have gotten more tight since I last saw them, they have also matured and sound more professional. All in all a very good night and some mighty fine beer was drunk, you must see this band!!!
What a superb band!!! Sweaty you should have put a chain round me neck and dragged me to the gig!!! i can see why you like BIGELF..... TROUBLE arent what they were...so this band works the Sabbath guitar riffs a treat!!!.......put me down for an album, i want to hear more!!!!
