I've been buying my CD's off ebay & Amazon for years, so no real loss. BB never has what I want anyway and Target is always even worse.

Same for blu-rays. I go, I look, I no find, then I order online.

And if they think they can sell online/deliver to store at prices higher than anybody, they're nuts.

Some years ago I bought my daughter a portable CD player for one of her birthday presents.
It was like I got her an old Victrola with those giant cones on top.

But on the plus side my wife's car you can just talk to the radio and tell it what to play.
"Play Lynyrd Skynyrd" and it does.
One day it will be like that everywhere.

Thanks for the Heads Up!

It's so hard to find hard copies of anything these days; i.e. Books, Software, Newspapers.......

The Digital Age comes with a Price. When they closed Barnes and Noble on the 16th Street Mall in Denver I was like What? Now I know they want us not to know! Browsing is all up to a Big Brother.

I'm afraid that the cd will die out within a few years in some countries. **Cd's and dvd's takes up to much space in the living room and to expencive. I don't want to pay up to 28 US$ for a brand new album with f.ex Mötorhead when I can buy the same flaming album as MP3 files cheaper over at Google Play or Itunes for something like 16US$ incl. tax and other silly fees.

** = We danes don't like things that takes up to much space in our living rooms:p

Well, it's a bit sad because it was more fun digging vinyl and cd's in the music stores in the good old days.

I'm not surprised. Most of the bigger electronic stores had a terrible selection of CD's for years. I'm pickin' up used CD's dirt cheap over the last couple of years where I live. Funny, it was about 30 years ago I was buying used LP's for next to nothing as people were unloading vinyl for the CD. The price of LP's has gone through the roof at least where I live. Stuff I paid $15 - 25 are now going for $ 75, 100 and up. "New" vinyl cost me at least $20 Cdn. What is old is new again.
