nick drake sad but wonderful too!

What a great artist Nick Drake was. He is one of the few artists that the more you listen to him, the more you realise that he was a singer of incredible depth. Some very sad songs that he bought out, but they talk to you. I have all three of his albums and love them all. Great, great music :bow::bow:

Some years ago I purchased his anthological box Fruit Tree edited posthumous in this version:

https://www.discogs.com/it/Nick-Drake-Fruit-Tree/release/1936800.

I was literally entranced by his music and especially his lyrics with a strong character autobiographical.

I have founded the same sensibility in a few other songwriters.

I come to mind Laura Nyro and Tim Buckley.

Don't really know Laura Nyro, but agree with your assessment on Tim Buckley, especially the first few albums (maybe up to Blue Afternoon). Fantastic musician :bow:

That Fruit-Tree release looks very interesting. What is the DVD like?

The DVD entitled A Skin Too Few - The Days of Nick Drake was made by BBC and sees Drake's sister speaking about Nick's life and art. There are other interviews (if I remember well, the great producer Joe Boyd) and some of his fine and deep songs. The documentary is also available on Youtube : :)
