popular bands that you hate

Kiss and Def Leppard grind my gears, had to walk away from Def Leppard at Donington, utter bilge and if Kiss had been playing I would have stayed at home anyway. Brian Ferry I struggle with and there's a host of glam metal bands .. just not for me.

I don't despise Yes. I mostly can't stand Jon Anderson's voice.

That was actually the thing that kept me away from liking them.

I think I've Seen all Good People is a great song, but for the most part they underwhelm me as prog rock.

Even when I didn't like them I still was very impressed with the music. I was more annoyed than underwhelmed.

Iron Maiden- Every song sounds like horses galloping down the plain. Kinda like the William tell Overture. Every song sounds the same.

I get the feeling from this statement the majority of the Maiden you've heard is from Number of the Beast onward. This isn't what I reach for when I want to hear Maiden.

The first two albums are absolute classics.

I get that KISS is "rock and roll". But it's so boring.

Kiss is a band that always had stinkers on their albums - from the very first one. However, they also had extremely gritty and yes powerful tunes as well (albeit pretty simple) but the more popular they got the worse their music became. By the album Love Gun they were pretty much out of good songs but the first three albums have lots of epically great in the trenches rock songs, the live album is among the best anyone has ever done and they managed to put out a couple more before going down in a flaming disco ball of gayness.

I would have to agree. There has to be one out of 87 songs. Stairway To Heaven, Immigrant Song, Friends, Whole Lotta Love, Bron - Yr - Stomp, Celebration Day, Kashmir, Babe Im Gonna Leave You, Dazed and Confused, Good Times Bad Times, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Trampled Under Foot, Custard Pie, Sick Again, Houses Of The Holy? Come On!
