Hate is indeed a strong word......but I dislike most 'metal' bands especially the 'hair metal' bands
though there are a few that I like sometimes ....Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater...etc. but thats because they have prog elements or other styles than just metal in them.

...maybe hate is strong?- and it's subjective, many bands I've come to really appreciate and others I've fell out with.Coldplay to me are a nonsense...the first two singles were very promising....but when Clocks came along it was yawn city...then the whole Apple kid thing...
Totally gone off The Eagles-bar Witchy Woman....Suede were another bunch of tossers...absolute wallpaper. Since the convid times....I've dismissed many artists and bands and burned many in protest. Had a 'Queenathon' here recently and realised that on most albums after Sheer Heart Attack..at least 3 tracks per album are skipable.
With Cold Play, I don't hate them but I don't understant their popularity or musical attraction..? They seem just an ordinary middle of the road band who at times can be boring... Also Metallica, for me their only listenable song is Nothing Else Matters, but all their 'heavy stuff' seem so drudgery; does not have that spark like Iron Maiden tracks...

Just about anybody who started their career after 1985. Well, I don't hate them, but I don't have any interest in them. I was done listening to the radio in 1990, by which time I had aged out of the demographic.

I really like one song ("She's Electric") by Oasis, but everything else I've heard from them goes in one ear and out the other. In a just world, that song would have been a massive single, but here it's just an album track.
