After some thought I realized that just maybe we're not giving Uncle Ted a fair shot being he shares similar qualities to past presidents and would probably fit in like a glove :

Like Lyndon Johnson he's cruel to animals.

Like Bill Clinton he's a draft dodger and a womanizer.

Like George W Bush he's an inarticulate bonehead who couldn't put an intelligible sentence if he tried.

Like Barack Obama he's an egocentric who feels that he's right and the rest of the world is wrong and anyone who doesn't agree should cease to exist.

Nugentcare anyone?????????????

We are venturing into politics as Vehicle posted...understandable considering the thread is about Ted's possible candidacy.

Let's avoid any serious disagreements.

Magic posted this thread because it was funny so let's keep it lighthearted please and thank you.

Everyone should watch Robert Redford's movie "The Candidate" at least once, way ahead of it's time. Peter Boyle is excellent as well as the campaign manager.

20 years ago the thought of Ted running for President would have been completely insane...but in the current climate he could possibly get the nomination.:gig

That's true, and I was going to ask everyone which one of Ted's songs he should use for his main campaign theme....

I really love his first album, that's the one with 'Stranglehold', but that was about it - I don't find his caveman music particularly elevating, and he's never been great with song titles, all his songs seem to either be about bondage, or female genitalia, or ripping apart defenceless animals with his 10" bowie knife, or if not that, then they're in some sort of gibberish language that he's dreamed up .... "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang".... "Wango Tango"..."Wang Dang Doodle"....etc etc. I already suggested a few slogans for his campaign in earlier posts, but I'm totally lost for an appropriate song for his campaign trail, I think by the time he'd made his main stump speech on traditional All American Republican family values, with his five illegitimate children (and their five different mothers) all standing alongside him on the platform, it would already be too late for the right song-choice to make much of a difference. Obama last time used Springsteen's 'We Take Care of Our Own'....so how about Nugent doing some kind of variation on that, like 'We Take Care of Our Own Weekly Raw Meat Butcher's Order With Our Bare Hands' ?

^^His first ST album is his best studio record for sure.

I thought "Stormtroopin" would be a good choice...thematically it fits with his image.
