BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND'S MULTI-PLATINUM 'LIVE BULLET' AND 'NINE TONIGHT' ALBUMS REMASTERED:
In preparation for Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's return to the road this Fall for a second leg to their 2011 North American Tour, Capitol/EMI will release Seger's multi-platinum Live Bullet and Nine Tonight concert albums digitally remastered with exclusive bonus tracks on September 13.
Seger's new tour dates will extend from coast to coast, with stops expected in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Orlando, Dallas, Denver, Columbus, Las Vegas, Vancouver and more. The first leg of Seger's 2011 Tour drew rave reviews from critics and played to more than 350,000 fans. Originally released in 1976, Live Bullet was recorded at Cobo Hall in Bob Seger's hometown of Detroit, Michigan. The album has sold over five million copies and features 14 classics, including “Turn The Page,” “Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser,” “Katmandu,” plus a live bonus track exclusive to this newly remastered edition, a rare recording of “I Feel Like Breaking Up Somebody's Home” from Seger's sold out first stadium show at the Pontiac Silverdome.
Originally released in 1981, Nine Tonight was also recorded, in part, at Detroit's Cobo Hall, as well as at Boston's Boston Garden. The five-times platinum album features 16 live hits, including “Old Time Rock And Roll,” “Night Moves,” and “Hollywood Nights,” plus a live bonus track exclusive to this newly remastered edition, “Brave Strangers.”
Both titles will be released with restored original artwork and updated packaging and offered in a special CD/T-Shirt Box combination at select retailers.
Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band's legendary live performances have led to record sales in excess of 51 million which includes 11 platinum and seven multi-platinum RIAA-certified album sales awards. ^^I am glad to see Seger touring with the old band and returning to his rockin' roots.

Live Bullet > Nine Tonight, but both are good records.

^^I'll take Seger, the Doobies and Warren Haynes off that list, Blues Traveler is good too but I would skip Kid Rock and go to the beer tent or grab something to eat when he was playing.:D

Bob Seger Helps Kid Rock Break His Own Concert Record

The closing night of Kid Rock’s recent run of sold-out shows at Detroit’s DTE Energy Music Theatre was one for the record books.

When Rock took the stage for the final night of his eight-show stand on Aug. 20, he was — depending on your point of view — either breaking or tying a record set at the venue in 1977, when Bob Seger accomplished the same feat. (As Classic Rock Magazine points out, the capacity has been increased over the years, so Rock played to more people than Seger over the course of his shows.)

But if Seger was at all unhappy about seeing his milestone eclipsed, he didn’t show it. In fact, he took the stage with Rock for two songs (‘Old Time Rock and Roll’ and ‘All Summer Long’) during the encore. “I’m sure there’s more for us to do,” enthused Rock after the show. “It was beyond mind-blowing. There’s definitely something there.”

It’s just the latest in a series of collaborations between the two Detroit legends, who have popped up at each other’s concerts and on each other’s albums for years. Earlier this year, they performed a pair of shows together in North Dakota and Minnesota that featured a set list that found Seger rapping with Rock on the latter’s 2001 single ‘Forever.’ “Oh, that was so much fun, and I just thought it was so unexpected,” laughed Seger later. “And the reaction in the front rows when we did it was just exactly what I hoped for. It was, ‘Oh my God, they’re doing this?!’ They just didn’t expect it, which is what you want to do. You really want to surprise people if you can.”

We’ll have to wait and see how many surprises Seger has in store on his upcoming album, which he’s been recording in Nashville. He debuted a new song, ‘All the Roads,’ earlier this year. Other possible tracks include ‘Gate of Eden,’ ‘Ride Out’ and ‘Wonderland,’ as well as covers of John Hiatt’s ‘Detroit Made’ and Billy Bragg and Wilco‘s ‘California Stars.’

Nice to see the sort of old and new guard of things literally arm in arm in this interesting photo.Seger is a VERY oft-overlooked figure in the annals of rock.Thank God he didn't suffer the same fate in the minds of Hall of Fame voters!

I love Bob Seger, he's really unappreciated in my country, I suppose the general public haven't heard of him.

I remember when i first heard one of his songs, it was 'We've Got Tonight' and it was on the VH1 channel. Before that I'd only ever heard of his name mentioned by Chief Wiggum in The Simpsons. I loved the song and immediately wanted to hear more so i made sure I got a hold of his greatest hits.

Obviously, what I heard was much better as the other songs are very different and better. So from here I started delving into his albums and the rest is history.

I've been listening to him a lot recently and then I play GTA V and, boom, he's got two songs on there.

It would be great to see him perform live, I actually prefer Nine Again over Live Bullet.

I guess it's like that in most of Europe, but he does get some recognition once in a while - there was a nice article about him in a recent issue of Classic Rock.
As for me personally, I love the guy - I really wish I'd get the chance to see him live.
