The only album from this bunch of jerk's that i can stand is the Frank Zappa produced album from 1976 called- GOOD SINGIN', GOOD PLAYIN'.

Favourite tracks-Pass it around, Crossfire, 1976 & Rubberneck (which is the album bonus track on cds).

Rock on you mutha's :wank:

THE WHOLE BAND SUCKED ALTHOUGH THEY WERE MASSIVE IN THE USA IN THE 1970s APPARENTLY?????.

WE'RE AN AMERICAN BAND the song is kinda catchy but they mixed rock with soul which i didn't like rather then an all out rock style, atleast GOOD SINGIN', GOOD PLAYIN' was mostly all ROCK.

Okay this isn't a Grand Funk song, but it does have drummer and vocalist Don Brewer playing on it plus he has a brief solo.

This one shows a bit more of Don

For me, Grand Funk Railroad will always be Don,Mark, & Mel. They were my transition band from Black Sabbath. Not that I did not listen to all the others on the radio, but at age 14, an Album purchase is a great percentage of your personal fortune. It was money earned cutting neighborhood lawns and saving my meager allowance. It was music that I could crank up when I was home alone and perfect my air guitar style. I still have the 3 LP's of GFR that I bought in my collection.

Haven't heard that one yet, Phil. My favorites so far:

I'm by now a really big fan of the earlier GFR ...E Pluribus Funk is probably my favorite followed by the above quoted. I also really like Were An American Band a lot. Not really understanding why some people call it pop just because It has keybroads ... so did Deep Purple :wtf:

WAAB is one their heavy records to these ears. Phoenix & Shinin On have some decent stuff too IMO... but after that I'm not finding anything that interests me.
