Wishing I had voted GNR now. Thinking about it, Appetite has far more songs that are memorable to me.

I am very comfortable with my choice.

And I have also read numerous articles that said indeed VH when they opened for Sabbath when they were earning their stripes were a far more energetic band and got a more frenetic reaction from the fans.

Having seen VH live in '78 & '79 I have no doubt that is the truth, those two concerts were absolutely incredible, easily in my top ten shows of all time.

The likes of Paradise City, Welcome to the Jungle, Night Train, Its So Easy was what drew me back to that album.
I love VH I for the record. Voted without really thinking it through though. lol

I seen them back then too LG & those shows were incredible!! Van Halen opened for Sabbath in Niagara Falls, NY & even though it was only 25 minutes away from me. My friends & I didn't have drivers liscences yet so we couldn't go but one friends older brother had gone & said Sabbath was awful & that VH was much better. He also said VH had the plug pulled on them & sang You Really got me acapella. I can't say for sure that that's what went down because I wasn't there but there was no reason back then for my friend's brother to tell him a lie about it. I will also say that I saw Blue Oyster Cult open for Sabbath(w/Dio) in 1980 & BOC totally blew them away (Sabbath waited for 2 hours after BOC before they hit the stage & they were awful). I did see the Mob Rules tour & Sabbath were great that time

Oh sh*t, haven't had to make this difficult of a decision in awhile...if I think about this too much I think my head may implode.

I'm gonna go with Appetite.
