^^Sorry MP I found a new copy of Metropolis Pt II early this morning, a double vinyl album so it's going on the list instead of the new record.;)

^^Yes not only is it my personal favorite but highly regarded by many fans as their best album. It's pricey...but I simply Must Have It now that I've seen the audiophile vinyl edition.

That online store in Pennsylvania is going to Love me in no time.:heheh:

I know that it is for me. :D If I'm not mistaken though, it's actually Dream Theater's lowest charting album in the U.S. Funny how that works, huh?

^^I didn't know that Cosmic......wouldn't be the first time a particular album I love was not well received by many other fans.

Anyway I actually almost let out a yelp when I saw it's available in a deluxe vinyl edition. I mean I love the CD too but simply must have the record now as well.;)

It was well received by fans but I think it didn't chart that well because it was the followup to "Falling into Infinity", which is their most poorly received album since their LaBrie-less debut. It also was getting close to ten years since they actually had a hit.....their only hit. :heheh:

I loved Dream Theatre ever since i heard them in Shades when the first album came out. I was lucky enough to catch them at the two shows at the Marquee when they first came to the UK and watched them most times they played in London
For me there are a band you either love or hate and tend to think most will be in the latter camp.
I think what stands out is the sheer consitency For me they are at their best when doing the epics like The Count of Tuscany

^^I love DT and have for a long time now. Doesn't bother me when the Haters get all fired up about them and their excesses having grown up during the golden age of prog I love massive sprawling masterpieces and any band that can write songs over 3-4 minutes that hold my attention deserve respect.
