I think he just did that...next Geezer and Ward will sign off and maybe Ozzy as well.

Sigh Prime is right this is a result of the "instant internet" phenomenon, no waiting just post whatever you like and it's viral in a few minutes.:nw:

I never really understood why some of the interviewers do that sort of thing, apologies if I go a bit off topic, but it doesn't make much sense. I'd imagine it takes some time and effort to make sure the article sounds legit, but then they're having to backtrack on their story because it isn't true.

It almost seems like they waste time instead of finding a legitimate story.

It's a by-product of the digital age, it's all about "being first" with the story, whether it turns out to be a hoax or just a load of rubbish doesn't seem to matter anymore.

That is also why I am skeptical of most BLOG's or other freelance sources, they are amateurs not professionals and there is a difference.

Oh well, next time I read something like this I will stay calm until the Damned CD is in my hand...:D

That's how I usually am with blogs nowadays, unless it's a blog a friend of mine made, than I will read it and give them props for taking the time on it.

But it's kind of sad how it doesn't matter if the story is true or not. Gives a lot of people false hope. Especially when it's news like this.

I'll probably do the same, even if I was excited to possibly get a new album by these guys.

I mean, I wonder what will be the follow up to what Iommi said

I hope he’s enjoyed his moment of glory, he won’t have another

He's he going for a suit here??

I don't think he means a lawsuit, unless they are working on a new album and the reporter agreed to keep it quiet until the band was ready to make it official.

This falls under the "rumour/gossip/wishful thinking" umbrella more than any evil intent towards Iommi or the others.

Who knows, nothing that comes out of this now interests me, I wanted a new Sabbath album not drama.:gnite:

As for this being new/official information, I'm pleasantly surprised. I never ruled out the possibility of them getting back together, although I never would have bet the farm on it either.

Honestly, I'm looking forward to a new record, but I'm more interested in seeing what they can do live. I sure as hell hope they do a major tour. Not sure if Ward will be up to the task though. If not, I wonder if they'd replace him with say Vinny Appice? *shrug*.

Time will tell. Good news though! :cheers2

Tony has ruled it out on his web-site.

I nearly fell out my chair when I saw this. Saw them at Download in 2005 and it was one of those Earth stopping moments. They opened with N.I.B. ****ing genius.
